The Only 4 Things You Need in Your Natural Skincare Routine | KAIKE

There are a lot of products on the market full of magical ingredients that promise to give you skin comparable to glass. But glass isn’t a living, breathing thing that requires nutrients to thrive like your skin is. Most products on shelves aren’t meant to play together, so layering on lots of products has the potential to wreak havoc on your skin, contributing to irritation, sensitivity, or worse.

When it comes to celebrating your skin, less is always more. Here, we break down what your skin needs to be ydrated and healthy with a routine that’s a piece of cake 😏

Your skincare routine only needs three things:

1. Cleanse

The foundational step in your routine should be to cleanse your skin, removing any dirt, excess oil, and makeup, and preparing it to receive any product you’re going to apply next.

Use a cleanser formulated for your skin type and concerns, but also won’t dry out your skin. Even if your type leans on the oily side, your skin still needs moisture to function correctly. Oil cleansing is the best way to break down dirt, oil, and makeup, and can even help break down blackheads over time. No double-cleansing necessary 🙌🏽

We recommend: KAIKE® Melt Oil Cleanser, a facial oil cleanser + makeup remover melts away dirt while toning, nourishing, and repairing all skin types.

How-To Oil Cleanse
Starting on dry skin, gently add a quarter-sized amount of cleansing oil into clean hands and massage onto the face and neck to dissolve dirt and makeup.

Using a warm, damp muslin cloth, wipe away the oil and dirt. Rinse your cloth and repeat until excess oil is removed.

2. Treat

As needed, incorporate a targeted solution to treat any specific skin concerns you have, depending on your skin type, condition, or environment.

We love incorporating a DIY mask, like this one to relieve dry, acne-prone skin, as it combines the calming and moisturizing benefits of oats and bananas with bacteria-fighting lemon juice.

DIY Mask Recipe for Dry Skin
Ingredients:

    • 1 banana
    • 2 tbsp of rolled oats
    • 1 tsp of fresh lemon Juice

In a bowl, mash the banana and add in the oats and lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
Generously apply the mixture to a clean face, leaving on for 10-15 minutes.
Wash the mask off your face with lukewarm water, using a muslin cloth for gentle exfoliation. Follow up with moisturizer and SPF.

3. Condition

The final step to follow up with a layer of moisturizer that’s best for your skin type.

For oily and acne-prone skin, opt for a balancing moisturizer to help regulate your skin’s oil production. For normal, dry, and combination types, look for something that is hydrating. If your skin is sensitive and irritated, look for a moisturizer that can help calm inflammation.

We recommend: KAIKE® Icing Facial Oil, a complete moisturizing facial oil for all skin types. A gentle, anti-aging, and acne-fighting skin booster that balances, brightens and evens skin tone.

How-To Do a Facial Massage
Incorporate facial massage to increase bloodflow and ease puffiness, while helping to regenerate the skin. Apply a few drops of facial oil and sweep your fingers, roller, or gua sha across your face then down the neck. Move horizontally - from chin to ear, under the eye to the temple, and side of the nose to top of the cheek - then vertically down the neck. Repeat a few times on each side.
